The six acre garden comprises both formal and wild areas and forms a perfect setting for the house.  Its varied features include a rose garden, a pond with exotic fish, an extensive herb border, a pear arch, fine lawns with a double row of pleached limes and a walled garden with herbaceous and climbing plants adjacent to the Tea Room.  The River Dudwell runs through the southern part of the property amongst a profusion of flowering trees and grasses.
