The coach will depart from the Bowyers Arms, Radley at 7.30am calling at bus stops through the village.
Tuesday 17 June. Evening garden visit to ‘Lime Close’, 35 Henleys Lane, Drayton, Abingdon.
Lime
Close, featured in the ‘Yellow Book’ is opening for us by special
arrangement. It is a 3-acre mature plantsman's garden with rare
trees, shrubs, perennials and bulbs. Mixed borders, raised beds,
pergola, unusual topiary and shade borders. Herb garden designed by
Rosemary Verey. Listed C16 house (not open). New cottage garden
designed by owner, a professional garden designer, focusing on colour
combinations and an iris garden with over 100 varieties of tall bearded
irises
Transport
will be by private car and bookings can be made with Maureen on
454326. At the time of booking please indicate if you can provide
or require transport. Meet in the health centre car park at 6pm. Cost
£5.00p each payable on the night. A minimum of 10 is required.
Sunday 29 June: KOA Open gardens day.

Kennington residents will be opening their gardens in aid of Kennington
Overseas Aid on 29th June. If you have any spare plants to donate for
sale please take them to either David Rogers, 95 The Avenue, or Marilyn
Farr, 85 Upper Road, who will both be selling plants. We are also
looking for volunteers to help on 29th June (2-6 p.m.). We need people
to sell tickets, teas and plants, and act as stewards. If you can help,
please ring Marilyn Farr on 01865-326519.
